Darrell Sheetsis being remembered by his son on his first birthday since his death.
FellowStorage Warsalum Brandon Sheets shared a tribute onInstagramWednesday, May 13, three weeks after Darrell was found dead at age 67.
"Happy Birthday," Brandon, 42, captioned a video slideshow. "Thank you for raising me to be the man I am today... wish that I could spend just one more day with you. I love you dad and happy birthday."
In his post, Brandon included photos of himself and his father over the years, soundtracked by ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid." The two could be seen posing at conventions and smiling with other family members. "Rest now, Pop," Brandon wrote.

Darrell was found dead on April 22 when officers responded to his Arizona home. “The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation," a release stated at the time.
After his death, Darrell's costarRené Nezhodaalleged in an Instagram post that Darrell had been dealing with cyberbullying. Kyle Ridgway of the Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed that cyberbullying accusations were "part of the active investigation" into his death.

In an update on May 5, Ridgway said the agency was continuing to "actively investigate allegations of cyberbullying associated" with the case. The reality star's phone, according to Ridgway, was submitted for forensic analysis.
Darrell's death was ruled a suicide, the Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office in Arizona confirmed on May 5. Authorities have asked anyone with information regarding the matter to contact the Lake Havasu City Police Department at 928-855-1171.
Darrell and his son were main players onStorage Wars, an A&E reality series that follows professional buyers competing to bid on abandoned storage lockers. Known as “the Gambler,” the elder Sheets made his debut in the show's premiere season in 2010. He departed in 2023 after season 15 and opened an antique shop in Arizona called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
Brandon paid tribute to his dad previously with an April 30 Instagram post. "I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our family,"Brandonwrote. "Let's all continue to build those memories and keep the legacy that is 'Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets.'"
Brandon added that his family needed "time to process and remember all the good that my father was and will continue to be through my son and I."
"The love we all have for this man and all his kindness is only a small portion of who he truly is," he added.
