Professional mechanic Petr Janousek urged drivers to watch out for garage scams[/caption]

Petr used the example of an aged woman who brought her automotive to him after it had been serviced at one other storage.

The "thorough" buyer introduced him with the complete service historical past and receipt from the final repairs she had finished.

Petr was surprised to see that seemingly pointless maintenance work had stacked up on her payments, prompting him to upload a "rant" about dishonest sellers.

He stated: "At 65,000 miles there must be nothing major achieved to it.

"It's 5 years previous.

"But the local dealer…I started seeing increasingly more rip-offs.

"The coolant is tremendous long life, [it's] rated for 105,000 miles.

"However there's some genius working on the vendor and he started selling individuals coolant conditioner."

He defined that the conditioner is a non-OEM part, which means it was not made by Toyota and is an after-market addition.

The additional cost of £18.85 that was added on to the OAP's invoice left him raging.

He slammed the garage involved as "predators" who goal gullible "previous women" and get them to shell out for pointless providers.

Not solely was the client stung for coolant conditioner, but they have been also charged £25 for a "non-OEM engine service package".

That came atop additional fees for "premium oil and gasoline system conditioner" and even checking the driving force's aspect flooring mat.

All of those, in accordance with Petr, are utterly pointless and serve simply to boost garages' margins.

Social media commenters have been surprised by the revelations.

One wrote: "Trustworthy mechanic, [a] uncommon discover."

One other added: "For my part, most dealerships are liars, cheats and thieves,"

It comes after an £80,000 Porsche was ripped apart to make use of the high-powered headlights for rising cannabis.
