A younger Cher once turned down none other than Elvis Presley.

"It was because I was nervous and I knew of the people around him and it wasn't that they were bad people, it's just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation," Cher, 77, said on Wednesday, May 1, episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show. "I'm really shy when I'm not working and kind of shy around men."

Tiger Woods' daughter, Sam, won't be following in her dad's footsteps.

"You know, when she was growing up, golf took daddy away from her," Woods, 48, told Carson Daly during a Wednesday, May 1, appearance on Today. "I had to pack and I had to leave and I would be gone for weeks, and there was a negative connotation to it."

Sam's thoughts on the sport led to the father-daughter duo bonding over other things.

"We've developed our own relationship, our own rapport, that's outside of golf. We do things that [don't] involve golf," the athlete said. "Meanwhile, my son, [Charlie], and I do everything golf-related. It's very different."

Woods shares Sam, 16, and Charlie, 15, with ex-wife Elin Nordegren. Charlie attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open late last month, but he failed to advance to the next stage after a local qualifier in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Woods told Daly, 50, that although Charlie usually listens to his golf advice, there has been "some pushback" as he gets older.

"He's 15 years old," he said. "It's what happens — it's what teenagers go through. They're trying to find their own place in the world."

Although golf isn't Sam's cup of tea, the teenager has supported her dad at numerous tournaments over the years and was present when he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in March 2022.

"It's been at the soccer fields and golf tournaments over the years that Charlie and I have begun to realize how famous he actually is," Sam said while introducing Woods at the induction ceremony. Elsewhere in her speech, Sam referenced the pro golfer's February 2021 single-car accident, during which he injured both of his legs.

"We didn't know if you'd come home with two legs or not. Now not only are you about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but you're standing here on your own two feet," Sam said. "This is why you deserve this, because you're a fighter."

Woods has also overcome his rocky history with Nordegren, 44, to form a united front as coparents. The exes divorced in 2010 after Woods' highly publicized affairs with multiple women, including a full-fledged relationship with Rachel Uchitel, made headlines in 2009.

Jason Kelce knows exactly what his wife, Kylie Kelce, thinks about his backside.

During the Wednesday, May 1, episode of Jason and brother Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast, the 36-year-old Eagles alum shared an in-depth analysis of how butt size affects football performance.

"I do think that you want more shapely and proper-proportioned asses for most of the positions. But defensive line, I mean, you want a big ass," he explained before asking Travis, 34, "What ass do you think of when you think of an NFL player?"

After Jason hung up the call, Travis had some questions.

"What is that?" the Kansas City Chiefs tight end asked. "Do chickens have glutes?"

Jason then explained Kylie's reasoning. "She's saying basically that there's no — there's nothing back there. It's just flat," he said.

"It cracks me up that he tries to talk about what he remembers from that night because he was, as I've said before, intoxicated," she told Philadelphia's NBC10 at the time, adding that her husband's speech made her "emotional" nonetheless.

After connecting on Tinder, Jason and Kylie had their first date at Buffalo Billiards following the Eagles' annual holiday party.

"He fell asleep 45 minutes after I got there on a bar table," Kylie said of the date during a September 2023 appearance on "New Heights."

The couple went on to tie the knot in 2018. They share three daughters: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 14 months. Jason thanked Kylie for making him a dad during his retirement announcement.

"We signed the greatest tight end ever to a new contract," the NFL team wrote via X on Monday.

Travis, who has been dating Taylor Swift since summer 2023, reacted to the deal during Wednesday's "New Heights" episode.

"I'm so excited, and I'm so thankful to this organization for getting it done and making me feel appreciated and compensated the right way," he said. "I can't thank Kansas City enough."

INSIDE the NBA's Shaquille O'Neal popped into a studio next door to mess around with the NHL on TNT panel on Tuesday — while risking a serious injury.

Shaq, 52, crashed the crew's live segment during the first intermission in the Carolina Hurricanes' Game 5 win over the New York Islanders.

O'Neal went skating in Studio F as Inside the NBA was off the air during Game 5 of the first-round playoff series between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.

He wore a goalie mask and Shaq-made skates, which were in fact two skateboards strapped to his feet.

"Who's idea was this? host Liam McHugh before trying to stifle a giggle.

"Don't take the camera off him, please!" added analyst Anson Carter.

"I hope he signed a waiver."

In the meantime, O'Neal battled the laws of physics to make his way inside with the help of a hockey stick.

And fans love the bit, although didn't hide their worries about the NBA icon's well-being.

"Definitely a hip replacement waiting to happen!" one wrote.

"@NHL_On_TNT x @NBAonTNT has become the collab I didn't know I needed this postseason," another added.

"Easy big man," a third said.

"This man wants to get hurt. He's a daring man. LOL," one wrote.

O'Neal has been a frequent visitor to the NHL on TNT set recently.

Last weekend, the Los Angeles Lakers icon grabbed a stick and glided around to earn the nickname Shaq Hyman — inspired by Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman.

Charles Barkley later followed Shaq into Studio F to guarantee a Toronto Maple Leafs win in Game 4 against the Boston Bruins.

The Bruins ended up taking a 3-1 victory and a 3-1 lead in the series.

However, Toronto beat Boston 2-1 in Game 5.

Shaq and Chuck are known for their on-air antics on Inside the NBA.

NBC is said to be preparing a huge offer for the TV rights to the league, currently owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery network.

FANS have turned a "very humble" Kevin Nolan gesture with Jurgen Klopp into another excuse to troll Newcastle assistant boss Jason Tindall.

London Stadium coach Nolan jumped out of the way and pointed to David Moyes, so that Liverpool chief Klopp would shake the West Ham chief's hand first following Saturday's 2-2 draw.

In contrast, Tindall has been labelled a "mad dog" as well as an "attention seeker" and even had his Wikipedia page changed over his habit of moving in for hand-grasping ahead of Toon boss Eddie Howe.

Viewers hailed Hammers' legend Nolan as a "proper football man" who showed "humility" and "pure respect" to Moyes.

The ex-Newcastle and West Ham midfielder waited patiently for Moyes to shake hands with Klopp and then hugged the German himself.

But many reckon it showed up Tindall's antics in a bad light.

One claimed: "Newcastle's assistant would have made himself the main character."

A second wrote: "NUFC assistant coach needs to learn!"

And a third joked: "Enough to have Jason Tindall turning in his sun bed."

Many supporters reckon Nolan avoiding shaking hands before Moyes was a perfect tribute to outgoing icon Klopp.

Stephen A. made a comment on First Take, saying he didn't understand how baseball players get injured.

"Mike Trout is a sensational players when healthy, one of the greatest, and I'm a huge huge fan," Stephen A. said.

"But I've grown disgusted with his lack of availability. I know he looks the part.

"What the hell are you doing to take care of yourself? Always injured. I mean, damn, it's baseball.

"What are we talking about here? It's not football. It's not boxing. It's not the UFC."

According to Stephen A, baseball players don't play hard enough in order to get serious injuries.

"How the hell is he always hurt? I don't understand this!" Stephen A. yelled.

"It drives me crazy when I see baseball players getting hurt. What is it that you're doing with yourself physically that you can't stay healthy?"

While Trout has struggled with serious injuries in recent years, Stephen A. may be forgetting the dominant force that he has been in his career.

Before 2021, Trout played 114 games or more, excluding the Covid season.

He is also a nine-time All Star and three-time MVP, and was on a stellar pace in 2024, leading the league with 10 home runs before going down with injury.

Trout was in the top five in MVP voting for nine straight years from 2012 to 2019.

Despite his accomplishments, Stephen A. can only see injuries when looking at Mike Trout.

"Somebody that great, I wanna see him on the field when it counts," Stephen A. said.

MLB fans were furious with Stephen A's analysis of Trout and clamored for him to apologize to one of the game's biggest stars.

"Stephen A Smith yelling over Mike Trout getting hurt with a torn Meniscus he should apologize," one fan said.
