Taylor Swift Switches Up Her Hairstyle for a Major Career Milestone

Taylor Swift was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame on October 26.

She wore a sweet half-up, half-down hairstyle for the outing.

She also wore an elegant velvet minidress with floral embroidery.

Taylor Swift just keeps on making history. And she also keeps experimenting with her post-wedding lob.

On October 26, she did both again after she became the youngest-ever inductee into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at 36 years old. Attending the 56th Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala, she switched things up in the hair department, pulling her fresh lob back into a sweet half-up ‘do, leaving her signature bangs falling full across her forehead. The rest of her hair was styled in relaxed waves.

Swift opted for a sumptuous strapless velvet minidress for the occasion. The deep burgundy Raisa Vanessa dress featured delicate orange floral embroidery, and paired perfectly with Swift’s crystal-embellished Jimmy Choo heels and a Leviev Divine 65-carat pear-shaped diamond choker.

Swift has been wearing her shorter hair since August, when, weeks after her July 3 wedding to Travis Kelce, she was spotted at a friend’s wedding with a new wavy lob. She later chopped her hair even shorter and brought back her signature tight curls. She wore her hair in retro curls for her recent Academy Museum Gala outing, along with an elegant strapless ice blue Dior gown. She then wore it straight while supporting Kelce at a game.

During the gala in Nashville, Swift took to the stage to accept her award. “I’ve been very fortunate I’ve gotten to genre hop and travel the world and write with so many different people and in so many different ways,” Swift said on stage. “And the only reason that I’ve been able to have that kind of dexterity in my creative process is because of the fundamentals and the foundation that I learned here in Nashville.”

“I’m so incredibly honored to be inducted into this sacred club, especially at this point in my life,” she went on, before adding, “I started writing songs when I was a little kid, and I knew from the time I wrote my first song that, even if it couldn’t be my career, it would be my passion. It would be what I centered my entire life around.”
