Botox, non-surgical facelifts & laser: Karren Brady's surgery confessions revealed & the one surgery she'd never have | 8L51023 | 2024-05-01 20:08:01
SHE'S one of the country's best business brains, the undisputed First Lady of football, queen of the exasperated eye roll, and a Baroness, to boot.
But whilst Karren Brady CBE certainly has worn many hats over the last three decades, her latest role may just trump the lot, after it was revealed she will become a grandmother in the next upcoming weeks.

"Oh, wild horses couldn't keep me away," she said in a chat with Fabulous.
"She's healthy and well, touch wood, and everything's ready and prepared. It's going to be great – the first grandchild in the family."
But although there's still some discussion about what Karren should be called now, as "grandma" and "nanny" are off the table, one thing is for certain – the 54-year-old star certainly does not look like a "nana", despite what she may think.
Despite being full of the winter lurgy and dosed up on Strepsils, Karren is and remains the epitome of chic.
She's known for her impeccably tailored and glamorous style on The Apprentice and looks much younger than her years.
Although many celebs in the industry like to stay quiet about surgery and enhancements, Karren is all about being transparent.
She's open about the fact she invests time and money in her appearance, but not because she's worried about what anyone else thinks.
"I don't care about being under scrutiny. I only care about what I think.
"There's nothing more horrifying than being 54 and seeing your face on a 50-inch television screen. It is terrifying!
"So I'm always conscious of how I look. Not out of vanity, but in the sense that I want to look as healthy as I feel.
"I've never had any surgery, but I have a lot of treatments – and I mean a lot of treatments – at the Dr Rita Rakus Clinic in London. I don't do fillers, as that terrifies me, but I do have lots of laser facials."
Whilst the business guru may not necessarily call herself a gym lover, she does enjoy keeping her body healthy by cycling, as well as ensuring she walks everywhere.
Recently she's been undergoing a new non-surgical facelift called Softwave, which uses ultrasound to reduce lines, and said the results have been "incredible".
"I've had a bit of Botox [in the past], but I do like my forehead to move and I can't stand that rubber-faced look," she added.
Karren's been married for 28 years to ex-footballer and Canadian international Paul Peschisolido, 52 – they met when he was playing for Birmingham City and she was managing director of the club.
Speaking of their relationship, she said: "My husband is my best friend.
"Our careers sort of went like this [she points in different directions].
"When the kids were younger, he was a footballer travelling all over the world and I was based at home. And then when he retired, I moved to London to run West Ham.
"We've always been there for each other and supported one another.
"There's never been any jealousy or one-upmanship or anything like that.
"What we have in common is the complete love for both of our children, and their health and wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do."
Britney Spears' new diet isn't 'sustainable' – she needs a 'realistic way' to deal with 'teenage trauma around food' | 8L51023 | 2024-05-01 20:08:01
BRITNEY Spears has never shielded away from showing off her curves or revealing the measures she has taken to get her world-famous figure in shape.
A celebrity dietician has urged the Toxic hitmaker to reconsider her latest diet regimen, which involves unsustainable "16-hour fasts," and find a regular pattern.
Britney Spears' new diet isn't 'sustainable' – she needs a 'realistic way' to deal with 'teenage trauma around food'GettyBritney Spears (seen here in 2018) needs to have a realistic and healthy relationship with food and a long-term approach rather than fasting, said an expert[/caption]
Britney Spears' new diet isn't 'sustainable' – she needs a 'realistic way' to deal with 'teenage trauma around food'Instagram/britneyspearsA dietician told The U.S. Sun that Britney (seen here in March) may have trauma around her relationship with food[/caption]
Britney shared photos on Instagram in March where she posed on a tropical beach.
The mega star's private parts were covered with emojis in one photo on March 27.
Britney was otherwise nude, grabbing her breasts as she sat in the ocean.
The photo drop came within days of revealing she had turned to a new diet.
Britney's March 15 post included a photo of a book on intermittent fasting by Stephen Harrod Buhner.
"I actually feel a little too tiny and weak to even think about shooting for Instagram right now!!! But honestly, I like this spiritual dimension I'm on," she wrote.
"It's purification in its utmost way and to go into your body and mind to find your most enlightened state of consciousness seems so rad!!!" Britney added to her post.
But Kim Shapira, M.S., R.D. has expressed doubts that intermittent fasting is the best plan.
She urged Britney to find a "healthy long-term approach" to food.
"I love that Britney Spears is inspired to become curious about her mind, body, spiritual life, and practices," Shapira told The U.S. Sun.
<!--End ofBrightcovePlayer-->
"I hope she finds a way to have a more realistic and healthy relationship with food and a long-term approach.
"When people go through something traumatic, they can develop a new trigger.
"When we become emotionally triggered, our rational mind becomes irrational.
"I have weak eyes and stress and asthma and headaches. So this chart has helped me so much with those problems …. and my weight!!!" she wrote on Instagram.
By 2021, Britney moved toward portion control. She told fans she felt better.
"No… I didn't follow through with the ice cream diet. I chose portion control, which is very hard when it comes to Doritos! On a positive note, my body feels way better now." she said.
Intermittent fasting involves an eating pattern that cycles between periods of eating and fasting.
Shapira, who has not treated or worked with Britney, claimed this diet was unsustainable.

Britney started a portion-control diet in 2021, which she claimed was difficult[/caption]
OUT OF HOURS
"This diet does not recommend foods that should or should not be eaten," she said.
"Some typical cycles involve fasting for 16 hours or more, with a window of 8 hours or less for eating.
"This diet trend has gained popularity because it has the potential to provide health benefits.
"These include increased metabolic function, weight loss, and brain health.
When Britney's autobiography, The Woman in Me, hit the shelves, she said Jamie had allowed her to eat "almost nothing but chicken and canned vegetables."
She said the control of her food intake occurred over two years.
"No matter how much I dieted and exercised, my father was always telling me I was fat. He put me on a strict diet. The irony was that we had a butler — an extravagance — and I would beg him for real food," she said.
Shapira, author of This Is What You're Really Hungry For, said Britney would have felt shame and persecution had Jamie restricted her diet.

Britney may have felt confused in the past about her fathers comments about food, said an expert[/caption]
'
RISK & RESTRICT
"I have never treated Britney, but I would imagine if a parent makes these comments, it would be confusing," she said.
"The comments might fill a person with shame and, ultimately, persecution.
"If food is restricted, our basic survival is at risk.
"This will ultimately lead to overeating when food is available; this is more of a human experience than an isolated one.
"I am excited for Britney to recognize she is more than those messages she might have received.
"If we could remember ourselves as teenagers, we would be more innocent, lack perspective, and see our parents and adults as all-knowing.
"Parents must know that we have limitations, and most of us try our hardest not to impact our children negatively.
"If parents encourage disordered eating, it is a form of abuse."

UNCONTROLLED
Britney's life has been dogged by difficulty since she shot to fame as a child star in the late '90s.
It became a whirlwind of controversy as she battled substance abuse issues.
"When we have restrictive and binge cycles, it is easy to latch onto a trend or fad that is similar.
"Our bodies need fuel and rely on blood sugar to function, and they thrive when we are consistent.
"Eating a small amount and as much as you need every couple of hours, trusting that there will be more later, would be considered consistent.
"Skipping meals, ignoring signals, or under-eating would be considered inconsistent.
"This is one way that screws up our metabolism.
"Our bodies would be in the middle of a feast or famine, and we hold on to calories to conserve and protect ourselves.
"I admire Britney for wanting to ground herself in her relationship with food and be curious about how food affects her mentally, physically, and spiritually.
"I am personally cheering for that side."

Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya Jama | 8L51023 | 2024-05-01 20:08:01
IT may be stormy and cold out there but some celebrities are raising temperatures with their skimpy two pieces and cut out cossies.
While the rest of wrap up warm and count down the days until spring, Instagram has been flooded with snaps of both reality stars and A-listers spilling out of their swimwear in hot climes.

There's nothing new there except some are taking the briefness to a whole new level.
Stars from Kendall Jenner, to Lottie Moss and Maya Jama have become part of the 'high rise bikini' trend – which sees their bottoms yanked up above their waist – both front and back.
It's left the rest of us wondering just how realistic – and painful – it must be to pull off the same look.
Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts with many asking: "Why bother with the bikini?"
And Celebrity stylist Lalla Bronshtein says the trend is "totally unrealistic."
She says: "The High rise trend is the new celebrity trend of 2024.
"Instead of celebrities wearing their bikini bottoms around their waist, they are pulling them as high as possible, which is allowing a lot of skin to be on show.
"But there's a lot of background work in these photos to make them appear to be so picture perfect.
"A-listers and reality stars are lucky enough to have access to a whole team of professional photographers, extremely good lighting, makeup artists, a fashion team and editing softwares.
"This is ultimately why the celebrities don't have their hair in the wrong place, or are spilling out in places you'd never want to be spilling out from.
"For these types of bikinis you'll need good angles and different styles of cover ups to make it work, such as kimono, sarongs, crochet shorts to lace dresses."
Here, along with Lalla, YASMIN HARISHA takes a look at celebrity fans who seem to have joined the high rise club and if you're brave enough to try the trend, she reveals how…
Maya Jama
Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya JamaINSTAGRAMMaya Jama had people 'zooming in' as they wondered how she managed to wear her 'high rise' monokini[/caption]
LOVE Island host Maya Jama is proving to be a cut above the rest whilst holidaying in Cape Town, South Africa, at the beginning of the year.
The 29 year old, who is currently dating rapper Stormzy, caught a quick break before hosting Love Island: All Stars 2024.
She shared a picture modelling a black cutout monokini style swimsuit to her three million Instagram followers, and captioned it: "Everything's better in the sunshine."
Talking about her bikini, many fans were fascinated at how she managed to model "such a high bikini" and how her "bunda broke the internet."
Another person commented: "Maya putting everyone in zoom in mode."
Lalla recommends wearing a cover up with it.
She says: "If you'd like to wear something like this, but fear you might fall out of it, team it up with a maxi cover up chiffon Kimono.
"Wearing the kimono open will show just enough of the cutout swimsuit-bikini making it look flattering, complimenting your figure well."
Kendall Jenner
Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya JamaInstagramKendall Jenner sparked debate after revealing her 'unrealistic' bikini[/caption]
Keeping up with the trends as per usual is Kendall Jenner and her itsy bitsy super teeny bikini.
Being the top model she is, Kendall, 28, put everything out there the reality star got tongues wagging after she shared a bikini picture of herself to celebrate the new year.
However, the picture didn't get a lot of positive feedback.
"Disappointed," one wrote.
Another questioned: "Why bother with the bikini???"
A third asked: "I don't get why a woman would want to share this with the world? Do you have no self respect?"
Lalla says: "Kendall Jenner is wearing a micro string bikini, but that isn't very realistic to wear for most.
"She's using her professional skills here to make the most of the picture, but it's not natural at all.
"Some may feel uncomfortable wearing this or walking along the beach in this as the bikini may not stay in the same place.
"For it to work, a long sleeve sequin net mini dress is great to pair with a micro string bikini as you're still showing off the bikini style but covering up at the same time."
Kim Kardashian
Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya Jamainstagram/kardashianklosetKim Kardashian played tennis in her £5k high rise Chanel bikini[/caption]
Known for always being picture perfect and often leaving little to the imagination, Kim Kardashian oozes with confidence in her skimpy briefs.
The mum of four shared a picture of herself playing tennis in a pink Chanel Velour bikini – which costs over £5,000 – with her 364 million Instagram followers.
But it may leave you wondering how she managed to run around with a bikini pulled that high.
Lalla says: "Don't be fooled by the professional sports equipment she is holding, Kim Kardashian is posing perfectly here and knows exactly what she's doing to make a real statement.
"I'd recommend wearing a top and bottom mesh cover up set.
"With it being mesh fabric, you still get to see the bikini style under the cover up without feeling virtually naked."
Perrie Edwards

Whilst currently embracing motherhood, former Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards recently enjoyed a well deserved break in Antalya, Turkey with family.
But this isn't the most realistic bikini to be walking around in.
Lalla says: "I'd recommend a crochet bodycon skirt to help with any mishaps.
"Adding just a skirt your focus is on the distinctive bikini top, which I believe is the nicest part of the suit."
Georgia Harrison
Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya JamaInstagram/@georgialouiseharrisonGeorgia Harrison enjoyed a quick holiday before heading on Love Island in South Africa[/caption]
She's now appearing on All Stars: Love Island attempting to find love in sunny South Africa, but it seems Georgia Harrison may have been getting her tan on beforehand to prepare for it.
The 29 year old reality star had fans blushing after she wore a tiny hot pink bikini at the beach.
And with her impressive body, Georgia was able to pull off an "extremely high" bikini bottom.
Causing waves in her comments section, many commented on how she looked so "unreal" with her "truly amazing body."
But wearing this bikini isn't for the faint hearted.
Lalla says: "Georgia Harrison is wearing a Pink halter tie side string Thong Bikini.
"For it to work, I'd recommend wearing a co-ord crochet beach short set in cream over bikini.
"This will show off the coloured bikini and bring a pop of colour to the overall look."
Maura Higgins
Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya JamaSocial Media CollectMaura Higgins looked hot whilst enjoying some sunshine in the Maldives[/caption]
Whilst many of us have been wrapping up to keep warm, former Love Islander Maura Higgins has been cooling off.
The 33 year old, who is 5ft 7ins and has a slender figure, holidayed in the Maldives in a very tiny two piece.
She captioned the picture: "I like my bikinis how I like my wine…..Red."
Many rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on her "amazing body" with one saying how she "took their breath away."
It's no wonder with a tiny bikini like that.
Lalla says: "This is a very brave bikini to wear, but Maura certainly has the body for it.
"But for those who don't want to feel like they could be spilling out, I'd suggest wearing a low back crochet maxi beach dress over the bikini set, either in black or white, as both colours will be a good contrast with the red bikini set."
Sophie Kasaei
Celebs get slammed for 'unrealistic' high rise trend from Kendall Jenner to Maura Higgins & Maya JamaInstagramSophie Kasaei left little to the imagination in her 'birthday eve suit'[/caption]
Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei was virtually down to her birthday eve suit in this snap which she shared on the eve of her birthday.
The 34 year old left little to the imagination in black leather.
Lalla says: "This is a brave bikini to wear, and I'd say isn't for everyday use.
"Like Sophie, I'd recommend this is best for getting professional pictures taken where you can pose in the best way possible, without showing off too much.
"If you like the style of this bikini, I'd recommend teaming it with a white or light blue sheer mesh cami dress, adding this will compliment the bikini style and make it very on trend.
"Whilst hiding things you may feel self conscious about."
Emily Ratajkowski

Never one to shy away from the camera, Emily Ratajkowski oozes with confidence and glamour.
However, the 32-year-old mum sparked a debate in the comments section of her Instagram page after modelling a 'high rise' bikini.
Many thought Emily, who promotes body positivity, was showing off "too much skin," and implied she shouldn't be doing it.
One wrote: "Imagine if your mum would run around the house like this. What would you think about her?
"Why do you complain about the objectification of your body when your whole Instafeed is objectifying your whole body?"
Another asked: "Does she ever put clothes on!"
A third said: "And then you make a podcast complaining how men sexualise you. Can't have it both ways."
Emily is wearing a Brazilian mini bikini bottom with a string bikini top.
Lalla says: "For it to work wear a bodycon crochet midi dress over the bikini.
"A bodycon style of dress goes well with this type of bikini style."
Convicted felon Terry Clark Hughes Jr named as suspect in horror Charlotte shooting that left four officers dead | 959713O | 2024-05-01 19:08:01
A CONVICTED felon has been named as the armed suspect accused of killing four law enforcement officials as they attempted to serve a warrant.
The deadly standoff unfolded as officers with the US Marshals Task Force were serving a warrant at a home in the suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, at around 1:30 pm on Monday.

However, as US Marshals were serving the documents, they were met with gunfire from a high-powered rifle, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said.
Officers returned fire and fatally shot the armed suspect, identified as Terry Clark Hughes Jr., a convicted felon with a lengthy criminal background, police said.
Hughes Jr. was wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of felony flee to elude in Lincoln County, said Jennings.
Four law enforcement officials were struck by gunfire during the shootout.
The US Marshals confirmed three members of the task force were fatally shot.
HERO OFFICERS IDENTIFIED
Two officers were identified as Sam Poloche and Alden Elliot, who worked for North Carolina's Department of Adult Corrections.
The two served as probation/parole officers before joining the department's special operations and intelligence unit.
Poloche joined the intelligence unit in 2013, while Elliot joined in 2016.
The third was identified as 13-year veteran deputy US Marshal Thomas Weeks, 48.
<!--End ofBrightcovePlayer-->
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Jennings said one of his officers died from his injuries at the hospital.
Six-year veteran Joshua Eyer died at the hospital surrounded by his wife and family, the police chief said.
"Officer Eyer was 6-year veteran with the CMPD, and I am truly grateful for his bravery, service, and ultimate sacrifice. He will never be forgotten, and we are forever indebted," Jennings posted on X, formerly Twitter.
"It was just last month I was in this very room, congratulating Officer Eyer for becoming officer of the month," Jennings said during the news conference.
"He certainly dedicated his life and gave his life to serve our citizens."
SECOND WAVE OF GUNFIRE
After a three-hour standoff, an armored police truck was finally able to breach the home, breaking windows and tearing through doorways.
But, as officers approached the residence, they were met by more gunfire from a second shooter inside the house.
Officials were able to negotiate with the other people in the house as two females exited the property and were arrested.
The relationship between the two women, one described as a 17-year-old, has not been determined.
Police have not disclosed who the second shooter was.
"We are very early in the investigation," Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Jennings said.
"CMPD will lead this investigation, we still have a lot to uncover, a lot of questions that are not answered right now."
Four other Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were injured during the hail of gunfire.
The cops responded to the scene while trying to rescue the initial round of wounded officers.
The injured officers were identified as Chris Talley, Mike Giglio, Jack Blowers, and Justin Campbell.
"Unfortunately, this individual decided to greet them with gunfire, and it just turned into a tragic event for the officers who were originally out on the scene and the officers who responded to try and assist," Jennings told CNN.
The four wounded officers are in stable condition and are expected to survive.
Neighbors recall the wave of gunfire lasting for several minutes.
"I see, like, 50 police cars zooming in, and then I hear gunshots," Alex Rivera, who lives on a street nearby, told the Associated Press.
"Bless those officers and bless their families."
"Nobody should get killed over a warrant," said local William Cunningham, who served in the 1991 Operation Desert Storm in the Middle East.
President Joe Biden mourned the death of the officers, saying, "They are heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, rushing into harm's way to protect us.
"We mourn for them and their loved ones. And we pray for the recoveries of the courageous officers who were wounded."
"Our hearts are with the families and co-workers of officers in today's brutal attack, including two state Department of Adult Correction officers working with the US Marshal's Task Force who were shot and killed," said Roy Cooper, North Carolina's governor.

China sending robot spaceship to 'dark side of the moon' in landmark mission as they vow to send astronauts by 2030 | 959713O | 2024-05-01 19:08:01
CHINA is set to send a robot spaceship up into space to explore the chilling dark side of the moon in the coming days.
The three-part journey will see China's extraordinary Chang'e-6 spacecraft embark on a mission to visit the moon's surface and gather enough data to allow astronauts to return by 2030.

Chinese scientists are also hoping they will continue to run away with the world's space race by getting their team of expert space dwellers to build a moon base up there.
Sometime this week the Chang'e-6 is set to blast off and land on the untouched side of the moon that is permanently facing away from Earth.
The daring first mission will take 53 days and will be done completely through a relay satellite orbiting the moon.
Chang'e-6 is thought to be getting sent up to collect 2kg worth of rock and dirt samples from the surface of the moon.
The spacecraft will use an inbuilt mechanical scoop and drill.
Space expert and author Leonard David told Reuters: "If successful, China's Chang'e-6 mission would be a milestone-making event.
"The robotic reach to the Moon's far side, and bringing specimens back to Earth, helps fill in the blanks about the still-murky origin of our Moon."
Just a few days ago, the communist regime launched a three-member crew to its orbiting space station in a bid to push its ambitious space program.
The Shenzhou-18 spacecraft lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China atop a Long March 2-F rocket.
So far, China has managed to lay out a timeline for the seismic exploration attempt starting with the initial mission this week.
They have hopes to deploy a Chang'e-7 in 2026 and a Chang'e-8 in 2028.
Both of these missions will be done to further explore the moon's dark side and will use the satellite instead of being controlled by humans.

But by 2030, when China has managed to successfully pinpoint a potential water supply in space and built a rudimentary outpost with Russia they hope to have astronauts walking on the moon.
Any signs of water are expected to be found on the moon's south pole – a place described as the "golden belt" for lunar exploration by scientists.
However, the US and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are preparing their own mission to send humans to the moon even sooner.
They will be rocketing off in 2026, say the space specialists, under the Artemis programme where they will explore the South Pole.
The initial Chang'e expedition took place in 2007 with China battling against NASA ever since to find a way back up to the moon.
The spacecraft is set to carry payloads from France, Italy, Sweden, and Pakistan on board.
Chang'e-7 is preparing to launch with Russian, Swiss and Thai payloads as well.
It is believed to be landing on the northeastern side of the gigantic South Pole-Aitkin Basin – the oldest recognised crater in the solar system.
Every sample from the moon so far has been collected from the near side of the moon hence the desperation to be the first nation to embark over to the dark side.
CHINESE SPACE CONCERNS
NASA chief Bill Nelson has also been outspoken with his fears about China's activities in space.
Experts warn the Communist regime could use them to support an invasion of Taiwan, with submarines firing missiles at targets that have been identified by the space tech.
