As Piccioli stated in an Instagram post on the weekend, "I've been on this company for 25 years, and for 25 years I've existed and lived with the people who have woven the threads of this lovely story that is mine and ours. All the things existed and exists because of the individuals I met, with whom I worked, with whom I shared goals and created beauty, with whom I built something that belongs to all, and that is still immutable and tangible. This heritage of love, goals, magnificence and humanity, I carry it with me, at this time and endlessly."
It's been a tough week for trend fans, with Dries Van Noten's retirement announcement on Tuesday and now Piccioli's exit. After so many vibrant collections, maybe his shifting black monochrome collection for Fall 2024 was a sign of change to return.
