ROYAL Marine amputee Ben McBean was yesterday stripped of his blue badge — and fumed: "I don't understand how rather more disabled I have to be."

But council officers have ruled he doesn't meet requirements for priority parking aid, despite solely having two limbs, considered one of which is at present damaged.

The Office for Veterans Affairs have been approached for remark.
A Plymouth City Council spokeswoman stated: "We at the moment are helping Mr McBean renew his badge as quickly as potential."
