UPDATE: 2/7/24/3:01 p.m. ET — The crew member who died on the set of Marvel Studios' Marvel Man collection has been recognized.

Us Weekly can affirm that 41-year-old Juan Carlos Osorio died on Tuesday, February 6, after falling from studio rafters. In response to a GoFundMe web page arrange for the late crew member, Osorio's fall was brought on by a "potential structural failure" whereas working at CBS Radford Studios in Los Angeles.

"We are hoping the Production Firm, The Facility, MBS, Marvel Studios handles things properly, but anticipate an extended street fraught with lawyer fees and bills," the GoFundMe web page reads. "In the intervening time [sic], payments shall be mounting and the widow, Growth Operator Joanne W. shall be left to cope with every little thing. Assist in case you're in a position, it's drastically appreciated."

A crew member died whereas working on the set of Marvel Studios Marvel Man on Tuesday, February 6.

The employee, who has yet to be named, was working as a rigger at Radford Studies in Los Angeles and handed away after falling from the rafters, in response to Deadline.

"Our ideas and deepest condolences are together with his household and associates, and our help is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident," Marvel stated in a press release.

IATSE, the union representing crew members and different behind-the-camera staff, stated an investigation is being carried out by the California Division of Occupational Security and Health.

"Everybody in the IA household is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We're working to help our member's household, and his fellow members and colleagues," IATSE President Matthew D. Loeb stated in a press release by way of The Hollywood Reporter after the incident. "Security on set is our highest priority and we'll help Cal/OSHA in their investigation in any method that we will. The tragic news comes one month before Marvel Man is about to start out filming once more. The shoot began in April 2023 but was delayed because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which have been resolved final fall.

Disney+'s Marvel Man, which does not at present have a release date, follows Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) who's a film star turned superhero. The 10-episode collection may even star Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, Demetrius Grosse as Simon's brother, Eric Williams, Ed Harris as Simon's agent Neal Saroyan, Lauren Glazier and Josh Gad.

Kingsley, 80, initially starred as Trevor in Iron Man 3 reverse Robert Downey Jr. and reprised his position in 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings before joining Marvel Man.

"I feel that, if I'll humbly converse as an artist and a craftsman, I feel our position is to always surprise and refresh, so I hope that I proceed to continually shock and refresh," Kingsley shared with Variety on reprising his position within the MCU in September 2022.

Marvel's 'Agatha' Spinoff Gets a New Title, Delayed Release Date

There are a number of Marvel collection in the works for Disney+ including Kathryn Hahn's WandaVision spinoff referred to as Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. The collection — which was additionally delayed to the the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes — will even star Patti Lupone, Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Miles Guiterrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili.

While not much is understood concerning the WandaVision spinoff, Lupone, 74, revealed that she will probably be showing as a sorceress.

"I didn't know there have been witches, I didn't know something concerning the Marvel world," she shared throughout an April 2023 appearance on The View. "There are witches in the Marvel world. So, we're a coven of witches."
